This page will help you to prepare and submit your full paper to EPE 2007.
Last and final deadline to upload your full paper: Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Full papers presented at EPE 2007 will be included in IEEE Xplore®. Therefore, EPE 2007 has registered for the use of IEEE PDF eXpress. This feature will help you to either check whether the PDF-file of your full paper is IEEE Xplore®-compliant (PDF check function), or it will help you to create an IEEE Xplore® compliant PDF-file (conversion function).  No other format will be accepted!

Next to converting their full paper into a IEEE Xplore®-compliant PDF, the authors must upload their full paper into the EPE 2007 submission system for inclusion in the EPE 2007-Proceedings.  This requires an access code which will be sent to you when the conference fee related to your registration is received by EPE 2007.

The new IEEE Xplore® requirements for PDF are in effect since 2005. Every full paper submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore® and in the EPE 2007-Proceedings must therefore correspond with the IEEE Xplore® PDF-specifications for compatibility.

EPE 2007 - Steps to create and submit your full paper:

  1. Register and pay for the EPE 2007-Conference: Click here

  2. Write your paper according to the instructions stated below. Keep the eventual comments of the reviewers and topic chairs of your synopsis in mind.

  3. Use IEEE PDF eXpress to check whether your PDF-file is IEEE Xplore®-compliant (PDF check function), or use IEEE PDF eXpress to create an IEEE Xplore® compliant PDF-file.

  4. Upload your full paper, the IEEE Xplore®-compliant PDF-file, into the EPE 2007 submission system. (Before you can upload your full paper into the EPE 2007 submission system, the payment of your registration must have been received.)

EPE 2007 – IEEE Xplore® / IEEE eXpress™

  1. Write your full paper. Don’t forget to take into account the reviewer’s comments which you (eventually) received in the notification e-mail. The full paper must be written in English.

  2. Download the Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)- and/or the MS Word (.doc) template
  3. Finalize and proofread your full paper. Check the lay-out of the full paper according to the formatting guidelines BEFORE you start using IEEE PDF eXpress™. If you do not want to use IEEE PDF eXpress™ to converse your source file(s), but only to check your PDF-file, use the appropriate Xplore_distiller-file to help you to create the PDF-file. Click here for the eXplore_distiller-files.

  4. Create your IEEE PDF eXpress account at http://216.228.1.34/pdfexpress/log.asp using the Conference ID: epe07 Useful information about how to access and use IEEE PDF eXpress is also available here: Accessing and using IEEE PDF eXpress™
  • When you have received the confirmation that EPE 2007 has received your payment, and accordingly the upload code, submit the IEEE Xplore® compliant PDF-file to the EPE 2007- submission system:  Click here.

If you do not want to use IEEE PDF eXpress to converse your source file(s), but only to check your PDF-file, use the appropriate xplore_distiller-file to help you to create the PDF-file: Click here.

If you want to read more about the PDF-specifications for IEEE Xplore®, click here.

The full paper should not exceed ten (10) A4-pages and the file size may not exceed 1.5 Megabyte.

Paper title, headings and body text should be written in Times New Roman, formulas in SYMBOLS – MS Equation Format – MathType Format. A special care should be taken for countries that use special fonts: double byte fonts (Asian countries), East European fonts,… and make sure that all fonts are embedded.

All graphics must be inserted in the PDF document. Graphics, pictures and other non-text elements could increase unnecessarily the file size. To avoid this, graphics must be prepared at the right size and color depth before including them into the final document. Avoid cropping or other distortion to ensure a good printed quality of your document. The use of JPG or GIF format is the best solution to decrease the total file size of your document.

We suggest:

Image Type Resolution Downsampling Compression Ant-Alias
Color 300 dpi Bicubic JPEG/Medium Not Applicable
Gray 300 dpi Bicubic JPEG/Medium Not Applicable
Monochrome 600 dpi Bicubic CCITT Group 4 Off
